Thanks to "Ted Pommes" and his great tutorials. **EDIT** Yup, just as I thought it works! The first random player just connected to my server running my own custom map. Thanks for the help! I will edit this post with an update if I know it worked or not. Basically something with a download button wasn't enough it has to be a direct download link, which I'm testing out at the moment to check if others can join now. He just pointed me to another video of him explaining the +levelurl stuff. I literally just received a comment on that video on how to create a map. *EDIT* I figured it out, you can just put them on Dropbox. Any help here would be greatly appreciated as it's my final resort, because nowhere there is a proper answer to be found other than vague comments which contains two sentences at max. But as you're most likely understanding, players on Rust want plug-n-play just clicking the play button and it works, without doing extra stuff manually. Is there some sort of special procedure I might've missed to host my custom map? As of right now, no one can join it, except people that manually download the map from my Google Drive and put it into their Rust/Maps folder themselves. I put it on Google Drive with the download link in the server.bat with the command line +levelurl " " but it seems Rust still doesn't recognize the map. Now I did read about you having to host the file on some sort of cloud or website. If players try to connect, the server will return "Couldn't download level shadowatoll.map (Unknown Error)" shadowatoll.map is my custom map's file name. I made the map, everything works fine, except for one major issue: I just wanted to try something new I host a PvE server, and read about the "Rust Editor", an external program where you can make your Custom Map with. I'm hosting game servers for a few years now, on various different games including Rust, so I've got the knowledge of server setup in general. To start off with, my apologies if this has already been answered, but I've been looking for three days without avail to my question.
